WWE Superstar Dana Brooke mourns the death of boyfriend Dallas McCarver

Aug. 23 (UPI) -- WWE Superstar Dana Brooke announced on Instagram Tuesday the death of her boyfriend, bodybuilder Dallas McCarver.

"So here it goes, I'll try & be short-- aug 22 the lord received another angel, who happens 2 be my LIFE- MY Dallas the one WHO ONLY UNDERSTOOD ME!" Brooke wrote alongside a collection of images of the couple.

"He had a way with making people laugh!! Dallas was an exceptional body builder, but I didn't see him for that .. I saw him for HIM AND HIS HEART!!" she continued as part of a lengthy post. "He is the best individual I have ever met-- my ying to my yang.. finished my sentences and knew what I was thinking before I'd say it!! We had it all figured out - new WWE superstar "Big country" & "country strong" mixed tag team!!! -- you were my life , you are my life, I still smell u and feel ur presence."

"NEVER LEAVE MY SIDE -- like I have always asked; and u said NO NEVER Mrs. McCarver -- I had your back and I knew you had mine!!" Brooke said.

Brooke on Monday had shared a Man Crush Monday post on Instagram centered around McCarver. "One of the most genuine people I have ever met," she wrote.

McCarver died at the age of 26, the Boca Raton Police Department confirmed to People magazine. He was found inside his home on Broken Sound Parkway in Boca Raton, Fla. No foul play is suspected as officials await the medical examiner's report.

Brooke while speaking with TMZ, says the cause of death is believed to be choking on food. The professional wrestler noted how McCarver told her he was about to make dinner when the last thing he said to her was, "I love you. Goodbye."

Known as Big Country, McCarver had notably reached eighth place in the 2016 Mr. Olympia competition.

Brooke, real name Ashley Sebera, has also started a GoFundMe page for the Dallas McCarver Foundation, a nonprofit that raises money for underprivileged children.

"We are coming together to provide food, clothing, toiletries, books, and school supplies to those children who otherwise would go without. There are families struggling simply to make ends meet all over this country, and it's our goal in Dallas' honor to make sure that those children and families receive the support they desperately need!" Brooke wrote on the page.
