Aug. 22 (UPI) -- WWE Superstar Big Cass and NXT Women's Champion Asuka have been sidelined due to injuries. Cass suffered an injury to his left knee live on Raw Monday during his Brooklyn Street Fight against his former tag team partner Enzo Amore.
Cass could be seen grabbing his knee and hobbling after the seven-footer crashed landed outside the ring after her charged at Amore with a Big Boot. Amore was declared the winner of the bout after it was deemed Cass would not be able to compete.
"It's hard to tell what the extent of the injury is, but we're going to send him to get an MRI tomorrow and figure that out," said WWE ringside physician Dr. Chris Robinson in a statement.
WWE released a video of Cass receiving medical attention backstage and exciting Raw on crutches.
Asuka, meanwhile, broke her right collarbone during her successful title defense against Ember Moon Saturday at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III, WWE announced Monday.
"During the match, she landed awkwardly from a throw from Ember Moon and was able to complete the match, but had notable pain and discomfort," ringside physician Dr. Jeffrey Westerfield said in a statement. "We performed an initial ultrasound backstage that was highly suspicious of a break that was later confirmed by an X-ray."
WWE noted that the typical recovery time for a broken collarbone lasts between six to eight weeks but gave no official timetable for her return to the company's NXT brand.
Asuka was injured as she reached the 507-day mark of her NXT Women's Championship reign. She has remained undefeated since joining NXT in October 2015.
Recently, WWE Superstars Bayley and Scott Dawson of tag team The Revival also suffered sidelining injuries.
