Sarah Hyland and Dominic Sherwood split after two years of dating

Aug. 18 (UPI) -- Actors Sarah Hyland and Dominic Sherwood have ended their relationship after about two years of dating.

A friend close to the couple told Entertainment Tonight the relationship between the 26-year-old Modern Family star Hyland and the 27-year-old Billionaire Ransom actor Sherwood has come to an end.

The pair said their relationship had simply run its course and they plan to remain friends, according to the source.

"They are still friends and have respect for one another," a source told US Weekly.

Hyland and Sherwood first began dating in 2014 after costarring in the film Vampire Academy and publicly announced their relationship early in 2015.

Fans of the pair had speculated they may have separated after neither Hyland nor Sherwood shared photos together on their Instagram profiles for several months.
