Aug. 18 (UPI) -- Dahyun of the South Korean girl group Twice will be absent from several scheduled events after sustaining an ankle injury.

The group's agency JYP Entertainment said Dahyun sprained her ankle last week and will be away from the group as she receives medical treatment to ensure a quick recovery.

"Unfortunately, she will have to miss some of her schedule as her speedy recovery is our top priority," the agency said.

JYP Entertainment added that while Dahyun will miss some appearances during her recovery, the injury is not considered serious.

"Fans are expressing their worries but her injury is not serious," the agency said.

The nine-member group topped the Oricon daily album sales chart with their Japanese debut album #TWICE in early July.
