July 27 (UPI) -- Jason Bateman received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Wednesday during a ceremony where he was honored by Jennifer Aniston and Will Arnett.

"One thing has proven itself to be true and that is that having longevity in this business in not easy, especially starting off as a child actor," Aniston said of Bateman, Entertainment Tonight reported.

"Usually that's a story that doesn't always end well. And, when I actually met Jason it was kind of looking like it could go either way," she joked.

The Friends star, who has starred alongside Bateman in a number of films including Office Christmas Party, Horrible Bosses, Horrible Bosses 2 and The Switch, poked fun at how the actor has maintained his youthful appearance.

"It's like, 'Is he young? Is he old? He looks 12, he acts 100!' But even in his most restful state, he is one of the loveliest men to be around," Aniston said.

Also in attendance was Bateman's family including his wife Amanda Anka with their daughters Francesca and Maple, Aniston's husband Justin Theroux and Will Arnett, who gave a speech about his Arrested Development costar.

"I told him I had something to tell him and he drove me to the airport," Arnett said about a special moment he shared with Bateman, People magazine reported. "I told him I was about to have my first son -- he was the first friend I told. And Jason couldn't have been happier for me. There's nobody I know that deserves this star more than Jason, other than me. And today I am very happy for my brother."
