Billie Lourd, Taylor Lautner split after eight months of dating

July 7 (UPI) -- Billie Lourd and Taylor Lautner have called it quits after eight months of dating.

"They aren't together anymore but they are still friendly," a source who confirmed the breakup told People magazine about the pair.

"She's really focused on her work right now," they continued.

Lautner was recently spotted spending July 4th alone at Bootsy Bellows in Malibu leading to speculation that the couple had split, E! News reported.

Lourd, 24, and Lautner, 25, were first linked in December. Following the death of Lourd's mother Carrie Fisher and grandmother Debbie Reynolds, the actress thanked the Twilight star in January for his support.

In March, the duo shared on Instagram photos of themselves getting close while visiting the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve.

The last Instagram photo, featuring Lourd and Lautner together, was shared by the actor in May with the caption "Feeling lucky every day.." All of Lourd's Instagram photos featuring Lautner have been deleted.

Lourd will next be seen starring in Season 7 of American Horror Story.
