'Game of Thrones' Hodor returns in new KFC ad

July 6 (UPI) -- Game of Thrones alum Kristian Nairn channels his character Hodor in a new commercial for KFC.

Kristian appears in the ad as a cashier at the fast food restaurant who becomes overwhelmed by a parade of customers who all want to order chicken with a side of fries.

Overwhelmed by the hungry mob, Nairn is seen repeating "chicken with fries," similar to how Hodor would constantly mutter his name on the hit HBO drama.

Finally, Nairn is able to break away from saying "chicken with fries" when he begins to proclaim "chicken with rice," a new meal now available at KFC.

The actor was last seen as Hodor in Season 6 of Game of Thrones when the character met his end after "holding the door" for Bran Stark, played by Isaac Hempstead Wright, so that he could escape from a pack of wights.

Game of Thrones returns on HBO with Season 7 starting July 16.
