Ryan Lochte posts first photos of son Caiden Zane

June 15 (UPI) -- Ryan Lochte is giving fans a first glimpse of his newborn son.

The 32-year-old Olympic swimmer shared pictures Wednesday of Caiden Zane on Instagram after welcoming the infant with fiancé Kayla Rae Reid last week.

"Words can't describe how happy I am," he wrote before adding, "Now this is what it's all about..... family!!!!!!! #Mommy #daddy #CZL."

Reid also posted a photo of Caiden on her own account. She gave birth to the infant June 8 after "almost 26 hours of an unfortunate induced labor."

"I felt so many sweet unexplainable feelings and an infinite amount of love," the 25-year-old model said of meeting her son for the first time. "He is amazing in every single way and I'm so lucky to be his mommy."

"Ryan stayed by my side the entire time and encouraged me along the way," she added. "It was such an emotional moment for the both of us. I'm in awe every day and I love watching our little man grow daily. His face melts my heart."

Lochte and Reid got engaged in October and confirmed the model's pregnancy in December. The competitive swimmer was overjoyed while announcing Caiden's birth in a post on Twitter last week.

"Never seen a miracle happen before. Until this morning at 5:46 am when CAIDEN ZANE LOCHTE was born. 7lbs 14 oz, 22 inches. can't stop crying from tears of joy. Dream come true!" he wrote.

Lochte is a 12-time Olympic gold medalist who competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. He was suspended from swimming for 10 months after falsely claiming he was robbed at a gas station during the games.
