Jerry Seinfeld denies Kesha a hug in viral video

June 7 (UPI) -- Jerry Seinfeld is seen rejecting a hug from Kesha while giving an interview in a new video that has gone viral.

Seinfeld was approached by the pop star Monday as he was speaking with 94.7 Fresh FM radio host Tommy McFly while on the red carpet for the National Night of Laughter and Song event at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.

"I'm Kesha, I love you so much! Can I give you a hug?" Kesha asked the comedian in the middle of his interview.

"No thanks," Seinfeld responds putting his hand up. The 63-year-old then continued to deny Kesha who kept pushing for a "little" hug.

"I don't know who that was," Seinfeld says to McFly after Kesha leaves in disappointment. Upon learning that she was Kesha, Seinfeld replies, "Well, I wish her the best.

McFlay shared the clip on Twitter writing, "@KeshaRose found out @JerrySeinfeld is not a #Hugger -- Is it hard to be a non-hugger in 2017?"
