May 30 (UPI) -- Olivia Newton-John has delayed U.S. and Canada tour dates after learning her breast cancer has spread to her lower back.
The 68-year-old singer and Grease actress, shared a Facebook post announcing she was postponing her June tour dates. Doctors told her the severe back pain that caused her to delay the first half of her North American tour was the result of breast cancer that has metastasized to her sacrum.
Newton-John will also complete a short course of photon radiation therapy in addition to natural wellness therapies, according to the statement.
"I decided on my direction of therapies after consultation with my doctors and natural therapists and the medical team at my Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre in Melbourne, Australia," she said.
Newton-John, who became an advocate for cancer treatment, was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992.
Her post also stated that she would not be accepting interview requests, as she is focused on her treatment and healing.
