May 9 (UPI) -- Jodie Sweetin's ex-fiance Justin Hodak has been sentenced to six years and eight months in a state prison after he pleaded "no contest" to charges in court on Friday.

Hodak was found guilty of possession of a deadly weapon and for falsifying evidence by threatening a witness with force or implied force, according to E! News.

Upon his release, Hodak will be placed on formal probation for five years, will need to complete a 52-week domestic violence treatment program and obey a protective order that states he must refrain from releasing videos or images of Sweetin.

Hodak was also ordered to hand over his 9mm semiautomatic gun to the Los Angeles Police Department as he can no longer possess any dangerous or deadly weapons.

Hodak was arrested for a third time in March after he was seen driving in front of Sweetin's home in Sherman Oaks, Calif. The Fuller House star was granted a temporary restraining order against Hodak who was told to stay back 100 yards a day before a rep for Sweetin announced that their relationship was over after two years of dating.

The 40-year-old was said to have "engaged in violent arguments with Sweetin, in which he threw objects at her," according to court documents and that "following a prior break-up with Sweetin, he came to the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, where Sweetin works as an actress, demanding to see her and engaging in a dispute with the security guards there. He also waited for Sweetin to confront her at her children's school."

Sweetin, 35, also said that Hodak had threatened to kill himself using his 9mm semiautomatic gun.
