April 14 (UPI) -- Katie Holmes shared a throwback photo of daughter and "sweet angel" Suri on Thursday.

Fans remarked on the 38-year-old actress' resemblance to Suri, her 10-year-old daughter with ex-husband Tom Cruise, after Holmes posted the picture on Instagram, writing, "#tbt my sweet angel."

"Yes beautiful! She's a mini you!" one person wrote in the comments.

"Oh wow! Looks just like Katie!" another added.

"I thought this must be a picture of a young Katie not Suri. She is so like her mum!" a fan said.

Holmes shared a recent photo of Suri in March. She said in an interview with Jenna Bush Hager the same month that her lookalike daughter was upset when Donald Trump beat Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election.

"I thought Hillary was going to win this year, and it just hurt so badly when she didn't. And I know it hurt my child so much as a 10-year-old," the star said. "It really made me think we have a long way to go as women."

"We have to raise our girls to be very strong, not just for themselves, but to open the doors for other people," she added. "We need to really be strong and help [others] and help each other."

Holmes split from Cruise in 2012 after five years of marriage, and has since been linked to actor Jaime Foxx. She and Foxx were spotted at dinner last week, and are reportedly considering making their relationship public.

"Katie is tired of playing the hiding game," a source told Us Weekly. "They're going to go out to dinner more and are talking about a trip to Europe."
