Doodle 4 Google winner offers vision of 'A Peaceful Future'

March 31 (UPI) -- Google announced the winner of it's Doodle 4 Google competition for students to create a doodle about their vision for the future.

Sarah Harrison from Connecticut, who competed in the 10th-12th grade group, was named the National Finalist for her doodle "A Peaceful Future."

The image features a group of people of various races, genders, religions, sexualities, ages and physical abilities smiling while draping their arms over each other's shoulders.

"The winning artists from this year's contest shared powerful visions for the world of tomorrow with artwork that advocated for a cleaner environment, worldwide equality, advancing technology, and more," Google said. "The next generation showed us a bright and hopeful future."

Harrison was awarded with a $30K college scholarship and a $50K technology award for her school in addition to having her doodle featured on Google's home page.
