March 22 (UPI) -- Smackdown Live commissioner Shane McMahon got revenge on AJ Styles Tuesday following the Phenomenal One's brutal assault from last week.

Still sporting a black eye from their encounter, McMahon invited Styles to the ring during the closing moments of Smackdown in order to confront his WrestleMania opponent.

Appearing apprehensive, Styles approached the ring claiming he wanted to apologize to McMahon before Shane-O-Mac caught the former WWE Champion off guard with a flurry of punches.

The now bitter enemies began to attack each other on the outside where McMahon eventually gained the upper hand and placed Styles on top of the announcer's table.

As he's done throughout his career, McMahon then jumped off the top rope and nailed Styles with a devastating diving elbow that left both men incapacitated.

Also on Smackdown Live, The Miz and his wife Maryse released two video segments in which they mocked their WrestleMania opponents, fellow WWE power couple John Cena and his girlfriend Nikki Bella.

The clips, which were touted as lost episodes of Total Bellas, featured The Miz dressed up as Cena and Maryse as Bella as they poked fun at the reality series and brought up how Cena has yet to propose to his longtime partner.

"I'm just happy to stand alongside the woman I love and keep pushing forward doing exactly what I love," Cena said in response on Talking Smack after explaining how The Miz and Maryse often proclaim themselves as WWE's "It" couple.

Other highlights from Smackdown included The Usos defeating American Alpha to become the new Smackdown Tag Team Champions, Randy Orton defeating Baron Corbin after a distraction from Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose, WWE Champion Bray Wyatt ambushing Randy Orton backstage, Cena defeating Fandango and Carmella vs. Becky Lynch ending in a no contest as the Smackdown battled it out ahead of WrestleMania.
