March 18 (UPI) -- Last Man Standing star Tim Allen admits it isn't easy expressing conservative, political views in Hollywood.

The popular actor and comedian made the remarks while talking about attending Republican President Donald Trump's inauguration on Thursday's edition of Jimmy Kimmel Live.

"You've gotta be real careful around here," Allen said.

"You get beat up if don't believe what everybody believes," he joked. "This is like '30s Germany. I don't know what happened. If you're not part of the group, 'You know what we believe is right,' I go, 'Well, I might have a problem with that.'"
