March 17 (UPI) -- Former Power Rangers star Ricardo Medina Jr. has pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter for stabbing his roommate to death with a sword, the Los Angeles County district attorney's office announced.

Medina, 38, entered the plea in Antelope Valley court, admitting he killed Josh Sutter, 36, after they got into a fight over Medina's girlfriend at their home in Green Valley, Calif., on Jan. 31, 2015.

The dispute was over how Medina's girlfriend had parked her car, The Los Angles Times reported.

Sutter followed Median and his girlfriend into their room by forcing the door open. Median then stabbed Sutter with a sword he kept in the bedroom multiple times before calling police.

Medina faces six years in state prison. Sentencing is scheduled for March 30.

The actor is known for portraying the Red Ranger on Power Rangers Wild Force in 2002 and for voicing Deker on Power Rangers Samurai in 2011.
