March 17 (UPI) -- Internet streaming company Netflix is testing a new feature that allows users on its website to skip the introduction on its original programming, a potential delight for binge-watchers tired of hearing the same song at the start of every episode.

The feature is not available as of yet on the Netflix app, but users online can click the button at the top of any Netflix show and immediately skip to the first scene.

For anyone who's spent a day mowing down half a season of House of Cards or Orange is the New Black, the feature could be a real boon -- no more sitting through a rehash of the most recent episodes. No more theme songs stuck in your head the next day.

Netflix executive Smita Saran told CNN the feature is still being tested and the company has not made a decision about whether it will become a permanent feature on all platforms.

"We're looking at what does or doesn't enhance the viewing experience," Saran said.
