March 11 (UPI) -- Pregnant recording artist Ciara took to Twitter to let fans know she was OK after she was involved in a car crash in Los Angeles Friday.

Ciara was driving a Mercedes SUV when she attempted to make a left turn and a Volvo allegedly ran into her vehicle on the passenger side, E! News reported.

Neither Ciara nor the driver of the other vehicle sustained serious injuries in the collision, E News reported.

"Ciara and the baby are doing well," Ciara's representative said. "The driver was illegally in the bus lane and hit the right side of her car."

Ciara is expecting her first child with her husband, pro football player Russell Wilson. The singer also has a 2-year-old son with her rapper ex-fiancé, Future.
