March 7 (UPI) -- Rupert Grint detailed how he is often mistaken for musician Ed Sheeran Monday during an appearance The Late Late Show with James Corden.

"It's kinda 50/50 now," the Harry Potter star said of being mistaken for the also red-haired Sheeran to host Corden and fellow guest stars Patrick Stewart and Dan Stevens.

"It's like if someone stops me, it could go either way. I could be Ed or I could be me," he continued.

According to Grint, even celebrities believe he's Sheeran as he shared a story about an encounter he had with singer Leo Sayer.

"Leo Sayer, he came up to me and he said he loved my music," Grint said. "Of course, thinking I was Ed. I just, yeah, I play along."

Previously, Grint appeared in the music video for Sheeran's single "Lego House."
