March 6 (UPI) -- The road to WrestleMania continued Sunday at WWE Fastlane as Goldberg defeated Kevin Owens for the Universal Championship.
The main event, which lasted less than a minute, was delayed by Owens who kept leaving the ring to walk along the outside before the referee could ring the bell.
As Jericho's music hit and he entered the arena, a distracted Owens was hit with a vicious Spear by Goldberg who then followed that up with a a Jackhammer for the three count.
Goldberg will now be defending the Universal Championship against his rival Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. "See you in 28 DAYS, @BrockLesnar!" noted WWE's Twitter account alongside a photo of Goldberg holding up his new title.
Despite dominating the majority of the match, Bayley was able to best The Queen with help from Sasha Banks who helped distract Flair and keep her from cheating against Bayley.
After Banks pointed out to the referee that Flair was unfairly pulling on Bayley's tights during a pinning attempt, The Huggable One then nailed Flair with a Bayley-to-Belly Suplex for the three count.
Other highlights from Fastlane include Samoa Joe defeating Sami Zayn, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson retaining their Raw Tag Team Championships against Enzo Amore and Big Cass, Banks defeating Nia Jax, Neville retaining his Cruiserweight Championship against Jack Gallagher and Roman Reigns defeating Braun Strowman.
