March 3 (UPI) -- Gwyneth Paltrow shared a family photo to celebrate Chris Martin's birthday Thursday. The 44-year-old actress dedicated a sweet post to her ex-husband and "best daddy in the world" on the Coldplay frontman's 40th birthday.

"HAPPY 40th BIRTHDAY to the best daddy in the world!!! We [love] you so much!" she captioned a picture on Instagram of herself with Martin, 12-year-old daughter Apple and 10-year-old son Moses.
Paltrow split from Martin in 2014 after 10 years of marriage, but has remained close friends with the singer since. She went so far as to say in the Feb. issue of InStyle that Martin "would take a bullet" for her.
"He's at my house every single day," the star told the magazine. "We have our own lives but we still have our family life."
"To this day, Chris would take a bullet for me, even though I'm not his wife," she said. "I honestly think Chris and I have contributed something positive to the culture of divorce.
Paltrow is presently dating Glee and American Horror Story co-creator Brad Falchuk. She shared a rare photo with the television producer Wednesday to celebrate his 45th birthday.
"Happy birthday, handsome," she wrote.
Paltrow will next star in the movie 33 dias about artist Pablo Picasso. She is also slated for the TV movie One Hit Wonder, which Falchuk is writing with frequent collaborator Ryan Murphy.
