March 1 (UPI) -- The road to WrestleMania continued Tuesday on Smackdown Live as Superstars John Cena and Randy Orton made their plans clear for WWE's biggest event.

The show kicked off with The Miz inviting John Cena onto his segment Miz TV following the pair's explosive confrontation last week that left both competitors out of the running for the WWE Championship.

The Miz cut Cena's microphone and laid into the 16-time World Champion about how he has sold out the WWE for Hollywood.

"We can't see you, John... You did sell out, John!" The Miz declared, mocking Cena's signature hand gesture and catchphrase.

In response, Cena noted how The Miz has spent his career copying others and noted how if The Miz was willing, they could settle their differences at WrestleMania despite the former Intercontinental Champion not being the opponent Cena was hoping to face at the event.

"You're not the Undertaker ... but if you press me again, you're a dead man!" Cena said.

The Miz's wife Maryse then decided she had heard enough and defended her husband with her own choice words for Cena that ended with a slap to the face. Cena's girlfriend Nikki Bella raced to the ring to come to his aid. Quickly, The Miz and Maryse bolted while Cena and Bella celebrated in the ring.

To close out Smackdown, newly crowned WWE Champion Bray Wyatt began to address the WWE Universe of how he had given Orton the "keys to the kingdom" after his Wyatt Family follower agreed not to face him at WrestleMania despite winning the Royal Rumble.

As it turned out, The Viper was literally given access to the Wyatt Family compound where cameras followed Orton as he betrayed the Eater of Worlds by burning down his residence and the remains of his beloved Sister Abigail.

Distraught and brought to his knees, Orton declared to Wyatt that he was going to take his WWE Championship away from him at WrestleMania.

Also on Smackdown, AJ Styles defeated Luke Harper to become the No. 1 contender for the WWE Championship. Smackdown general manager Daniel Bryan and commissioner Shane McMahon must now decide what to do with two challengers to Wyatt's title.
