Lauryn Hill and Rohan Marley become grandparents

Feb. 22 (UPI) -- Lauryn Hill and Rohan Marley showed off their first grandchild as their eldest son Zion welcomed a baby boy into the world.

Rohan Marley, 44, shared a photo of his 19-year-old son holding his own son Zephaniah Nesta Marley, who was born last week, alongside a Bible quote from Zephaniah 3:16.

"In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear thou not: and to Zion, Let not thine hands be slack," he wrote.

The grinning grandpa also shared a photo of himself holding his newborn grandchild for the first time.

"JAH BLESSINGS 'WE GIVE THANKS FOR LIFE Welcome to Earth Little ZEPHANIAH NESTA," Marley wrote.

Marley continued the stream of photos by sharing a close-up of the week-old baby with his hand pressed against his cheek.

"Live in color 'Sir Zephaniah Nesta Marley,' Stone Cold Chillin," he wrote.

New father Zion is the oldest of Hill and Marley's five children alongside younger siblings Sarah, Selah, John, and Joshua.
