WWE Raw: Samoa Joe debuts, ambushes Seth Rollins for Triple H

By Wade Sheridan

Jan. 31 (UPI) -- The first-ever two-time NXT Champion Samoa Joe made his main roster debut Monday on Raw as he viciously attacked Seth Rollins for a returning Triple H.

The ambush was ordered by Triple H after Rollins had gone too far in their rivalry, interrupting NXT TakeOver: San Antonio on Saturday which got The Architect banned from the Royal Rumble.

Earlier on Raw, Rollins had also threatened the WWE COO's wife Stephanie McMahon stating that he would find and attack Triple H at the next board meeting or perhaps inside their home with their kids present.

While addressing those comments, Triple H called out Rollins who made it to ringside before Samoa Joe struck him behind and proceeded to beat the former World Champion down.

Samoa Joe finished the job and left Rollins looking lifeless in the middle of the ring after applying the Coquina Clutch as Raw went off the air.

Rollins has been calling out his former mentor since August when Triple H screwed him over and crowned Kevin Owens the new Universal Champion.

Other highlights from Raw included Brock Lesnar challenging Goldberg to a match at WrestleMania after he was decimated once again by the wrestling legend at the Royal Rumble and Owens retaining his Universal Champion via disqualification against Braun Strowman after Reigns interfered in the match to attack both his rivals.
