Jan. 26 (UPI) -- Frances Bean Cobain stars in a new campaign for the Marc Jacobs Spring-Summer 2017 collection.

The 24-year-old daughter of singer Courtney Love and late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain appeared in a snapshot Wednesday after landing her first major fashion campaign with the brand.

"I am honored to have worked with such incredibly creative, inspiring people for this campaign. Thank you @themarcjacobs & David Sims," she tweeted to her 520,000 followers.

The black and white photo was shot by photographer David Sims, and features Cobain in a sheer floral-print minidress with lace embellishment. Jacobs had nothing but praise for the burgeoning star in a post he shared on Instagram.

"I first met Frances Bean when she was 2 years old at a dinner with her mom (Courtney) and Anna Sui in 1994 at Bar Six in NYC," he wrote. "I have always wanted to work with Frances. Her beauty, uniqueness and strength is something I have long admired and respected."

"Few things remain as constant as my continued inspiration from those whose honesty, integrity, courage, and curiosity lead them to explore and venture beyond preconceived boundaries," the designer added.

Cobain has previously modeled for Elle and Harper's Bazaar, and appeared in Schon magazine with former Crystal Castles singer Alice Glass in October. She admitted in an interview with Vogue that she could "never" do modeling "professionally."

"I don't think I'll be modeling for anybody else for a very long time -- this is 100 percent outside my comfort zone," the star said. "I wouldn't have done it with anyone other than Marc."

"I'm not representing the beautiful top models of the world," she added. "I'm representing what a general, standard, average human girl would look like wearing these clothes. I think that's why Marc picked me for this."
