The network unveiled the 11:30 start time for the premiere in-between commercial breaks on Adult Swim over the weekend.

First announced in December of 2015, Samurai Jack will be helmed once again by acclaimed animator Genndy Tartakovsky, most known for his work on Dexter's Laboratory and most recently Hotel Transylvania.

The series originally debuted in 2001 and aired for 52 episodes before it was canceled in 2004. Samurai Jack followed the adventures of Jack as he fought his way back through time after being transported into a future where the evil wizard Aku had ruled the earth for centuries.

In a behind-the-scenes featurette released in July, Tartakovsky noted that for years he attempted to get a movie made that would wrap up the series however it never came to fruition.

This new season is said to be the final journey for Jack and the story will be properly concluded.
