LOS ANGELES, Jan. 5 (UPI) -- Shannen Doherty showed she's a "cancer slayer" by dancing after her treatment Wednesday.

The 45-year-old actress shared a video of her workout on Instagram following another round of radiation in her ongoing battle with breast cancer.

"Radiation is tiring. It builds up within you and sometimes one just struggles to keep their eyes open. You can see how tired I am here but I'm still moving!!" Doherty wrote.

"Any movement is so good during treatment, not just for the body, but for your mind as well. #cancerslayer @jammalibu @themamarosa," she added.

Doherty followed up by posting a tribute to her radiation machine. She revealed in the post that she named the equipment "Maggie" and that she's doubling up on treatments in an effort to finish radiation faster.

"This is Maggie. I've seen Maggie five days a week for what seems like forever. We have a love hate relationship. I love her because she's part of the life saving treatment I'm receiving," the star said.

"It's astounding how far we have come with technology," she reflected. "One day, Maggie will be retired and the cure will be found. Things like immunotherapy are the future but for now... it's me and Maggie. I'm seeing her twice tomorrow so that I can wrap this phase up faster. Goodnight sweet Maggie. See ya tomorrow. #cancerslayer."

Doherty was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, and announced in August 2016 that the disease has spread to her lymphatic system. Rose McGown, Tori Spelling, Jennie Garth and Gabrielle Carteris are among the stars who have voiced their support for the actress since her diagnosis.

"She is really courageous," Carteris told E! News in December. "I know that she is fighting the good fight and I think about her all the time and I send my prayers to her. She is really rising to the occasion in terms of really taking care of herself and fighting the fight."

Doherty is known for playing Brenda Walsh on Beverly Hills, 90210, and Prue Halliwell on Charmed. She will appear in TV Land's forthcoming series reboot of the 1988 movie Heathers.
