Bella Thorne shows off short, blue hair on Twitter

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 29 (UPI) -- Bella Thorne showed off her drastic new hairstyle early Thursday morning.

The 19-year-old actress flaunted her short, navy blue hair in a Twitter video after debuting her look during a night out with friends Wednesday in Los Angeles.

"Short blue hair don't care? #change," she captioned the clip.

Thorne attended Rae Sremmurd rapper Slim Jimmy's birthday party with Scream Queens star Keke Palmer, according to Entertainment Tonight. E! News reported the star wore a sheer top and red leather pants to the bash at Think Tank Gallery.

The former Disney star had said in a recent interview with Maxim that some studios have judged her image as too "out there." She attributed part of the unease to her coming out as bisexual in August.

"It is hard in this business for us. It really is," the actress admitted. "I've already had people talk [expletive] to me. And it comes from people in the industry, not even fans. I've had studios tell me my image is too 'out there,' hinting at it but not really saying it."

Thorne made headlines last week after her then-love interest, singer Charlie Puth, publicly called it quits with her over her ex-boyfriend, Tyler Posey. She later denied that she had cheated on Posey with Puth.

"Ty and I have been broken up for like over two weeks and charlie and I ARENT DATING we are friends," the star tweeted.

Thorne is known for playing CeCe Jones on the Disney Channel sitcom Shake It Up. She will star as Paige Townsen in Freeform's forthcoming series adaptation of the Rebecca Serle novel Famous in Love.
