Bella Thorne: I didn't cheat on Tyler Posey with Charlie Puth

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 23 (UPI) -- Bella Thorne says she didn't cheat on Tyler Posey with Charlie Puth.

The 19-year-old actress denied she was unfaithful to Posey, her ex-boyfriend, in a tweet Thursday after Puth, her new love interest, called her out on Twitter.

"Ty and I have been broken up for like over two weeks and charlie and I ARENT DATING we are friends," she wrote, adding that a new Paper magazine article about her relationship with Posey "was written forever ago."

Puth had publicly called it quits with Thorne in a series of tweets Thursday after the actress shared a throwback photo of herself and Posey the night before. The Paper article was published the same day as his tweets.

"No one should have their heart messed with like this, and I'm not going to be in the middle of it," the singer wrote. "I don't know Tyler personally, but I know he shouldn't be treated this way."

"She told me she was not with him anymore. This is all news to me," he added. "I want nothing but peace for all. I'm just removing myself from this."

Thorne and Puth sparked dating rumors over the weekend when they were spotted holding hands and kissing in Miami. The actress was assumed to still be dating Posey, who plays Scott McCall on Teen Wolf, until she was seen with Puth.

"I step outside of the house and immediately there's paparazzi following my every move," the actress said in the Paper article. "For instance, dating Tyler, when we first started dating, paparazzi got a photo of us kissing outside ... We were obviously dating and hanging out, but it just wasn't necessary to put that in front of everyone's face, you know?"
