LOS ANGELES, Dec. 19 (UPI) -- Katie Holmes rang in her 38th birthday Sunday with her daughter by her side. The actress went bowling with Suri Cruise, her 10-year-old daughter with ex-husband Tom Cruise, and shared photos from the outing on Instagram.

"Birthday vibes continued," Holmes captioned a picture of herself and Suri. "So grateful today."
"Thank you for the birthday love I really appreciate it !!!!!!!!" she wrote. "Love today #mothersanddaughters #friends #love."
Holmes had kicked off the weekend with rumored boyfriend Jamie Foxx in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, according to Us Weekly. The pair reportedly flew in Friday, sans Suri, and returned to Los Angeles the next night.
"Katie and Jamie took a private jet to Cabo on Friday morning," a source told the magazine. "It was a quick trip in honor of Katie's birthday. It was only them and two pilots on the plane."
"They stayed in one of the most private suites at [Las Ventanas al Paraiso hotel]," the insider added. "They wanted to be very discreet and had everything delivered to their room and taken care of by a personal butler."
Holmes and Foxx have been linked since 2013, but have yet to confirm their relationship. The actress split from Cruise in 2012 after five years of marriage, and has focused her energy on her career and Suri since.
"You've got to keep going," she said in the February issue of More. "In every part of your life. Focus on the positive. Stay creative. Go do things that interest you. Do work that's fulfilling. Challenge yourself."
Holmes' directorial debut, All We Had, opened in theaters this month. She will reprise Jackie Kennedy in the Reelz miniseries The Kennedys: After Camelot, which is scheduled to premiere in early 2017.
