Alan Thicke remembered at memorial attended by Leonardo DiCaprio, Kirk Cameron and Bob Saget

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 19 (UPI) -- The cast of Growing Pains paid tribute to Alan Thicke Sunday during a memorial service that was also attended by other celebrities.

On hand for the event were Growing Pains stars Joanna Kerns, Tracey Gold, Jeremy Miller, Kirk Cameron and Leonardo DiCaprio along with Bob Saget, Alex Trebek and Bill Maher according to E! News.

Trebek best known as the long-running host of Jeopardy!, spoke during the service of how Thicke jump started his career and gave him his first shot at hosting a game show.

Thicke's sons singer Robin, Brennan and Carter Thicke were also in attendance along with their families.

The television star died of a heart attack Tuesday at the age of 69 while he was playing hockey with 19-year-old Carter at a Burbank ice rink. He is also survived by his wife Tanya of 11 years.

Following his father's death, Robin noted that he was "always a gentleman."

"The good thing was that he was beloved and he had closure," he added. "I saw him a few days ago and told him how much I loved and respected him."
