Bristol Palin says baby No. 3 will 'complete' her family

WASILLA, Alaska, Dec. 14 (UPI) -- Bristol Palin says baby No. 3 will complete her dream family of five.

The 26-year-old television personality shared her excitement about her latest pregnancy in a blog post Tuesday after announcing she's expecting again with husband Dakota Meyer.

"We are so excited about our expanding family!" Palin wrote. "Looking back many months ago, I would have never dreamed this is where I would be."

"Dakota and I have been through trials in the public eye, and I am so thankful for where we are today. God brought us together. And then back together. Pretty miraculous," she added.

Palin is also mom to 11-month-old daughter Sailor with Meyer, and to 7-year-old son Tripp with ex-fiancé Levi Johnston. She and Meyer called off their first engagement in 2015, but later reconciled and married in June.

"Keeping with our unconventional life, it has been so much fun to keep this news just among our family and friends for the first half of our pregnancy; that Dakota knows the baby's gender but the rest of us won't until he or she is born; and even while pregnant with Sailor (under more unconventional circumstances) I always knew a third child someday would complete our family," the star said.

Palin's publicist confirmed her pregnancy to E! News last week. Palin and Meyer later revealed in a joint statement to Entertainment Tonight that their baby is due in spring 2017.

"We are so excited to announce that our family is expanding! God has blessed us so much; we are so thankful for His grace and new beginnings," the couple said. "A springtime baby in the Meyer home and we can't wait!"

Palin is the daughter of 2008 vice presidential candidate and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. She has appeared on her mom's show, Sarah Palin's Alaska, and competed on Dancing with the Stars Season 15.
