The 20-year-old model admitted in an interview with Yahoo Be that she's never seen the allure of having a highly-public "squad" of friends like the "Bad Blood" singer.
"I don't know what having a squad means. I just have my friends and that's it," Baldwin said at her ModelCo cosmetics line launch in Sydney, Australia.
"I don't think that you need to create a public squad. I don't know what that proves. So I don't really understand the Taylor Swift squad at all," she confessed.
Baldwin is friends with several members of Swift's squad, including Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner, but preferred to spend her recent birthday with family. She celebrated the occasion with sister Alaia Baldwin and cousin Ireland Baldwin.
"I was just with some of my really close friends -- my sister, my cousin -- and we just did a little 48-hour trip," she revealed. "We were in Canada and it was just low-key and fun and it was exactly what I wanted."
Swift and her famous friends often post together on social media, and have attended such events as the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards as a group. Actress Chloe Grace Moretz, however, is another young star who has rejected the idea of a squad.
"They appropriate exclusivity. They're cliques!" she said in the April/May issue of Complex before adding that Swift is "a very talented person."
