Celebration planned at Paisley Park in honor of Prince; biopic set for 2017

CHANHASSEN, Minn., Nov. 30 (UPI) -- Prince's Paisley Park Studios is planning a four-day festival at the late singer's home in Minnesota to coincide with the first anniversary of his death.

Celebration 2017 is set to take place at Prince's Paisley Park compound from April 20 -- April 23, and will feature guided tours, presentations and music to commemorate the anniversary of the singer's passing on April 21, 2016.

Tickets, which went on sale earlier this week, start at $499 for general admission, and ranges to $999 for a VIP ticket.

Also planned next year is a documentary from 13 Films which will chronicle Prince's early years and rise to fame.

Directed and produced by Michael Kirk, Prince: R U Listening? will feature interviews with bandmates Dez Dickerson and Andre Cymone, as well as Bono, Mick Jagger, Billy Idol, Lenny Kravitz, and Sheila E.
