'Bachelor in Paradise' stars Grant Kemp, Lace Morris split

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 29 (UPI) -- Bachelor in Paradise couple Grant Kemp and Lace Morris have called it quits.

The reality stars revealed in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that they recently broke up after getting engaged on the Bachelor in Paradise Season 3 finale.

"It really was mutual," Morris said. "We both have our issues we need to work on, and we can't really give each other what we need at this time. It's just not the right timing."

"For a month, we were kind of starting to bicker, and it was a thing of, something's got to give," she explained. "It was a cycle we couldn't break ... I think he's an amazing man. I'm super sad that it ended, but I know it's for the best right now."

"[I have] a lot of respect [for Lace]," Kemp added. "She's a great person. There were things we were trying to work on that we expected to get better with time, and unfortunately it kind of went the opposite way."

Kemp and Morris competed on The Bachelorette Season 12 and The Bachelor Season 20, respectively, before appearing on Bachelor in Paradise Season 3. The couple got engaged on the season finale, which aired Sept. 6.

"Words can't describe my level of happiness and I'm so excited for our future! #grace #bip #engaged #tanbabies," Kemp tweeted at the time.

Josh Murray and Amanda Stanton, and Evan Bass and Carly Waddell also got engaged on the Bachelor in Paradise Season 3 finale. The ABC reality competition was renewed for a fourth season following the dramatic episode.
