TORONTO, Nov. 22 (UPI) -- Following his dominating performance over Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series, Goldberg announced on Raw Monday that he will continue to compete in the WWE.
"The simple truth is that I did what I said I was going to do. I came, I fought and I conquered The Beast," the former World Heavyweight Champion said inside the ring about how he demolished Lesnar in mere minutes on Sunday.
"But there is a simple reality in life, ladies and gentlemen, that all good things must come to an end," the 49-year-old continued, hinting at retirement before sharing a story of how Raw commissioner Stephanie McMahon challenged him to stay.
"She looked me right in the eyes and she said, 'But do you have one more title-run left in you?'" Goldberg said.
As fans cheered, Goldberg then entered himself into the upcoming 30-man Royal Rumble match set for Jan. 29 that will determine who gets to compete for a World Championship at WrestleMania.
'At the Royal Rumble match, everyone is next!" Goldberg ended his speech, giving a warning to his 29 opponents.
Goldberg last appeared in the Royal Rumble match in 2004 when he was eliminated following interference from Lesnar that led to their first meeting at WrestleMania XX.
