Nick Cannon is expecting a child with his ex-girlfriend Brittany Bell

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 17 (UPI) -- Actor and television personality Nick Cannon confirmed Thursday his ex-girlfriend, actress and model Brittany Bell, is pregnant with his child.

Cannon also has 5-year-old twins with his former wife, singer Mariah Carey.

Us Weekly initially reported Bell was near the end of her second trimester earlier this month, but Cannon remained quiet about the baby news until his appearance on the radio show The Breakfast Club.

"I've got a baby on the way ... God said be fruitful and multiply," Cannon said, going on to joke: "I'm doing the Lord's work ... Everybody get a baby! I'm passing them out."

Cannon is the longtime host of America's Got Talent.
