LOS ANGELES, Nov. 16 (UPI) -- Carrie Fisher detailed a secret affair she had with Harrison Ford in 1976 during filming of the original Star Wars. "It was so intense," Fisher said of the romance to People magazine ahead of the actress exploring the fling further in her upcoming memoir The Princess Diarist.

"It was Han and Leia during the week, and Carrie and Harrison during the weekend," she continued of the pairs two iconic Star Wars characters who would later fall in love in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.
According to Fisher who gave Ford an advanced copy of her memoir, she got together with the actor following a birthday party for director George Lucas.
Notably, Fisher was 19 at the time while Ford was a 33-year-old married father of two. The romance had run its course after filming was completed on Star Wars.
"I looked over at Harrison. A hero's face -- a few strands of hair fell over his noble, slightly furrowed brow," Fisher writes in her book. "How could you ask such a shining specimen of a man to be satisfied with the likes of me?"
Ford has yet to comment on the reveal while Fisher seemingly poked fun at the news on Twitter Tuesday writing, "I would never talk about how someone was in any furniture--chair, bed, coffee table or otherwise."
