LOS ANGELES, Nov. 11 (UPI) -- Michael Bublé "will not sing again" until his 3-year-old son, Noah, is no longer sick, Bublé's friend David Foster said.

Noah is currently undergoing chemotherapy for liver cancer, and Bublé said on social media that he and his wife, Luisana Lopilato, are focusing solely on Noah's treatment.

"When this happens, everything shuts down around you," Foster said. "You go inside your little bubble and I don't think he's looking at social media. I'm sure he feels the love from millions of people."

Bublé has since canceled a scheduled performance at the upcoming BBC Music Awards, with more cancellations likely to follow during Noah's four-month treatment.

"[He] will not sing again until his child is well," Foster said.
