NEW YORK, Oct. 25 (UPI) -- Glenn Close is returning to the role that earned her the Tony Award for Best Actress -- Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard.
The stage musical is an adaptation of Billy Wilder's 1950 film classic about a fading, silent-movie star.
"Featuring a 40-piece orchestra, the largest in Broadway history, Andrew Lloyd Webber's Tony Award-winning masterwork of dreams and desires in the land called Hollywood comes to the Palace Theatre in a brand-new production," the show's website declared.
The 16-week, limited engagement is to begin previews on Feb. 2.
Close originally played the role of Norma in 1994. She also reprised the role last year for one night for Andrew Lloyd Webber's Royal Albert Hall Celebration.
