MINNEAPOLIS, Oct. 20 (UPI) -- Victoria Beckham will launch a collection with Target in 2017.

The retail giant announced in a press release Wednesday that it is collaborating with the 42-year-old English designer on a limited-edition spring line for women, girls and babies.

Victoria Beckham for Target will reflect "the charming, yet functional essence" of the star's Victoria, Victoria Beckham line. The collection, available April 9, marks Beckham's first foray into childrenswear.

"Working with Target has been a really exciting process, and this partnership allows us to share the essence of Victoria, Victoria Beckham with more people than ever before," the designer said in a statement.

"I was inspired to create the Victoria, Victoria Beckham line when I was pregnant with Harper, and since its launch, the category has evolved into an established lifestyle collection. With both the line and my daughter turning five, I felt it was the perfect time to extend into a more accessible price point and to celebrate both milestones by opening the range up to include childrenswear for the first time," she added.

Beckham's line will include more than 200 items between $6 and $70, and come in sixes XS to 3X for women. The collaboration features "soft pastels, bright pops of color and pretty spring prints."
