Sir Ben Kingsley takes on 'Rocket Man' for 'Lip Sync Battle' premiere

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 11 (UPI) -- Ben Kingsley channels Elton John for his debut on Lip Sync Battle, complete with piano and over-the-top costume during his performance of "Rocket Man."

Kingsley, who most recently lent his voice to The Jungle Book as Bagheera, appears on the first episode of Lip Sync's new season alongside John Cho.

Cho, who starred as Sulu on Star Trek Beyond, is set to perform a Western rendition of Bon Jovi's "Wanted Dead or Alive."

Lip Sync Battle is hosted by LL Cool J and Chrissy Teigen.

Also set to appear this season are Lupita Nyong'o, Wanda Sykes, Uzo Aduba, Craig Ferguson, DeAndre Jordan, Jay Leno, Ruby Rose, Laverne Cox, and Rob Riggle.

The new season premieres on Wednesday at 9 p.m. on Spike.
