NEW YORK, Oct. 8 (UPI) -- As part of a campaign to encourage people to vote, Robert De Niro spoke out against Donald Trump, saying he'd "like to punch him in the face."

The video, produced by Anonymous Content, aired on Friday's episode of The Kelly File with Megyn Kelly.

Anonymous Content produced a series of non-partisan interviews with various celebrities for the #VoteYourFuture campaign, and did not include De Niro's contribution because of its partisan content.

De Niro, who has been vocal about his disdain for the Republican presidential nominee, hurled a litany of insults at Trump, echoing Colin Powell's statements that Trump is "a national disaster."

"He's so blatantly stupid," De Niro said. "He's a punk. He's a dog. He's a pig. He's a con."

"He talks about how he wants to punch people in the face?" De Niro added. "Well I'd like to punch him in the face. This is someone we want for president? I don't think so."

He ended the rant by encouraging people to cast their vote.

"If you care about your future, vote for it," he said.
