LOS ANGELES, Oct. 4 (UPI) -- Toni Braxton is "resting at home" after a four-day hospital stay where she was being treated for complications from lupus.

Braxton's representative said there was no truth to the rumors that Braxton's condition was severe, noting that the singer will be preparing this week for an upcoming tour.

"She was in an L.A. hospital for a few days being treated for her lupus," her rep said. "She has been released and starts rehearsals for her upcoming tour this week. She was not in serious condition, though lupus is a serious disease and must be monitored at all times."

Braxton has been open about her battle since she first announced her condition in 2010.

"Some days I can't balance it all. I just have to lay in bed," she said last year. "Pretty much when you have lupus you fee like you have the flu every day. But some days you get through it."

Braxton's sister Tamar shared a video of the singer in her hospital bed, being comforted by her two sons.

"I absolutely HATE when she is sick," the caption said. "But to God be the Glory!! T, You are home SAFE and We can make you smile even when you're faking like you feel well enough to laugh at the joke #LUPUSSUCKS."
