LOS ANGELES, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- Katherine Heigl and her family are gearing up to welcome a new addition.

The 37-year-old actress shared a picture of her daughter Adelaide "practicing" to be a big sister after announcing she's pregnant and expecting a son with husband Josh Kelley.

"Adalaide's getting ready for her baby brother by practicing with her adorable cousin Ward! #cutecousins #gorgeouskids thanks for the frameable pic aunt @cassiemkelley!" she captioned the photo.

Heigl and Kelley, who adopted Adalaide in the U.S. in 2012, are also parents to daughter Naleigh, who was adopted from South Korea in 2009. The couple announced the actress' pregnancy in June.

"The Kelley clan is thrilled to announce that we are expecting a third addition to our family," the pair said at the time. "Naleigh and Adalaide could not be more excited to welcome their new sibling into the fold."

Heigl had posted a baby bump photo at 19 weeks pregnant on Sept. 20. She also shared pregnancy advice on her website, Those Heavenly Days, recommending several resources, including BabyCenter and EatingWell.

"The first month of my pregnancy I was eating bowls of fettuccine alfredo and huge slices of chocolate cake, all the while telling myself I was eating for two," the star admitted.

"It's hard enough for me to get motivated to work out when I'm not pregnant but now that I am it's 10 times harder. I'm not up for weight training, lengthy cardio workouts, or any of those new and fashionable exercise classes. What I am up for is yoga!" she said.

Heigl is known for playing Dr. Izzie Stevens on Grey's Anatomy and has since portrayed Charlie Tucker on State of Affairs. She will star on the new CBS series Doubt with Steven Pasquale and Laverne Cox.
