NEW YORK, Sept. 28 (UPI) -- Will Forte confirmed that he and director Jorma Taccone are working on a script for a sequel to MacGruber, the 2010 film based off Forte's Saturday Night Live sketch.

Taccone tweeted a photo of the first page of the script, dubbed the "super duper rough" draft with the caption, "No joke. #MacGruber2."

Late Night host Seth Meyers, and SNL alum, asked Forte whether there was any truth to Taccone's tweet.

"It is true," Forte confirmed.

"It's a very rough, early draft of the script, but we are trying to do it," Forte added. "We had a great time making the first one."

The first film featured MacGruber, played by Forte, and his team of experts, played by Kristen Wiig and Ryan Phillippe, on a mission to retrieve a stolen nuclear warhead from the hands of the evil Dieter Von Cunth.
