LOS ANGELES, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Lupita Nyong'o will definitely be in Star Wars: Episode VIII, she told Ellen DeGeneres. "I don't know where this rumor came from. It hurt my feelings," she said.

Nyong'o, who suited up in a motion capture suit to play Maz Kanata in The Force Awakens, will reprise her role as the wise barkeeper and friend of the Rebel Alliance in the next installment of the film, which premieres on Dec. 15, 2017.

"I've shot my scenes," Nyong'o told DeGeneres. "You never know, when you shoot your scenes in a movie, which ones are gonna make it and all that, so it's always 'fingers crossed.' But as far as I know, I'm in it."
