Kendall Jenner angers dancers with ballet-inspired photoshoot

MADRID, Sept. 21 (UPI) -- Offended dancers lashed out at Kendall Jenner after the model released pictures of a ballet-themed Vogue España photoshoot.

Jenner, who is not a classically trained ballerina, posed in pointe shoes, leaning against a barre for support.

Dancers took umbrage with Jenner's portrayal, noting her incorrect form and improper dress. Jenner's pointe shoes are missing the usual ankle-supporting ribbons and are not even broken in, offering no arch.

The accompanying video features Jenner jumping around in various ballet-inspired looks, including a pair of unrealistic fuzzy pointe shoes.

Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller left a now deleted comment on a screenshot of the video posted to Jenner's Instagram saying she "cannot be a fan of this shoot."

"There are so many amazing dancers in the world...Kendall Jenner is not one of them!" Miller posted.
