STAMFORD, Conn., Sept. 16 (UPI) -- WWE Superstar Paige has taken to social media to address rumors that she would be departing the company, following in the footsteps of her offscreen boyfriend Alberto Del Rio.

"First, I'd like to thank all my fans for their love and support the last few weeks. Let me begin by saying that the rumors that I'm leaving the WWE are completely false!," the former Divas Champion wrote on Twitter.

"I certainly look forward to returning back to action at some point, once my injury is treated and on a healthy return," she continued before detailing her 30-day suspension from August. Paige and Del Rio were suspended on the same day for violating WWE's wellness policy.

"Although I was disappointed by my suspension, I respect the WWE's Wellness Policy. However, let me be clear that I was not suspended for failing a drug test, it was merely due to a procedural issue. I took the test, I passed it. I arranged said test to happen after I wasn't at my home when aegis contacted me. So I drove 200 miles to do it. Unfortunately I didn't do it in time, according to Aegis. Once again, thank you for all the love and support!"

Paige's statement comes after reports that the Total Divas star's future with WWE was in question after the sports-entertainment giant allegedly urged her to break things off with Del Rio. WWE has denied the allegations but notably moved the pair to separate shows, Raw and Smackdown Live! during the draft.

Del Rio was granted a release from WWE recently and noted that the split was on "good terms."

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter via WrestlingInc, Paige had hired legal representation to help her explore her options. Paige is under contract with the WWE until 2019.
