Tim Burton honored at Hollywood handprint ceremony

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 9 (UPI) -- Filmmaker Tim Burton has had his hand- and footprints enshrined in cement outside of the famous TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

Winona Ryder, who appeared in Burton's horror-comedy Beetlejuice and iconic fantasy/romance Edward Scissorhands, and Martin Landau, who co-starred in Ed Wood, attended Thursday's event celebrating their friend and colleague.

Burton, 58, is also famous for his work on the movies Big Eyes, Dark Shadows, Frankenweenie, Alice in Wonderland, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Big Fish, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Sleepy Hollow, Corpse Bride, Batman and Pee-wee's Big Adventure.

His next film is Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children.
